中职学校英语课堂环境的调查研究

本文研究问题主要是调查中等职业学校英语课堂环境的现状。为了解决这个问题,作者通过对学生问卷的分析来回答统计。首先首先,根据问卷调查的结果和统计,可以清楚地揭示中职学校英语课堂环境的现状,可见中职学生对英语课堂环境的认知并不总是积极的,处于中等水平。实际上,他们只是在一定程度上对自己的英语课堂环境感到满意,但并不总是这样。


Chapter I Introduction


1.1 Background of the Study

This section introduces the background of conducting the research on Englishclassroom environment in secondary vocational school, which includes the increasingimportance of vocational Education in educational reforms, the current situation andcharacteristics of English teaching and learning in secondary vocational schools and theimplications from the previous researches on classroom environment.

1.1.1 The Increasing Importance of Vocational Education in EducationalReforms

In recent years, our country pays more attention to the qualitative development ofeducation, aiming to constantly improving our educational system. In 2010, The Outline ofNational Medium- and long-term Program for Education Reform and Development(2010-2020) which put forward the demands for the training model of innovative talent:“Laying emphasis on the combination of learning and thinking and creating a goodenvironment for independent thinking and innovation” was published by the Ministry ofEducation. What’s more, the educational reform on vigorously developing vocationaleducation and improving the quality of vocational education in the Outline has offeredconvenient conditions for the improvement of vocational schools’ education. In January10th, 2017, the Circular of the State Council on the Issuance of the 13th Five-year Plan forthe Development of National Education was officially published by the State Council,clarifying the guiding ideology, basic principles, target tasks and policy measures ofeducation at the present stage and putting forward the requirements of “developingvocational education and continuing education, speeding up the training of talents in urgentneed of economic and social development.” Among these policies, the development ofvocational education is attaching great importance.

1.2 Significance of the Study

1.2.1 Theoretical Significance

The theoretical significance of this research is to study and analyze the presentsituation of English classroom environment in secondary vocational schools based on theearly studies on classroom environment. It is conductive to enrich the English teachingtheory or teaching methodology in secondary vocational schools and make English classesof secondary vocational schools develop positively whether English teaching or learning.

1.2.2 Practical Significance

The research will be supposed to be practically significant. Firstly, this research mayhave English teachers to realize the significance of constructing a positive secondaryvocational English classroom environment so as to promote students’ participation.Secondly, it also will help teachers create a positive classroom environment where a moreoptimal teaching quality will be realized. Furthermore, it may be meaningful for teachersto have a clear understandings of the characteristics of classroom environment so thatteachers can take into account the dimensions of classroom environment in their teachingprocess.
